Japanese creatives see city talent
In partnership with the City of Liverpool College, Liverpool Vision worked on a visit from Mr Higuchi and Ms Nakamura of Digital Works Entertainment Japan.
The CEO of Japanese DWE Programming giants visited the UK to understand the demand the skills and the opportunities in Games Development with a specific focus on Liverpool as a possible location.
Liverpool Vision with UKTI organised the visit in recognition of the talent pipeline in the Liverpool city region. The team were particularly interested in our creative, innovative and practical approach to learning drawing comparisons to a more traditional approach to learning in Japan.
Exploring the city gems, meeting students from the college and experiencing first hand their ambitions to build the skills and the talents of the future gave assurance to Mr Higuchi that if he were to set up here he would be in a position to attract the talent and skilled workforce he would need to succeed.
The UK tour included companies such as: Atomicom, Catalystonteca, Lucid, Milky Tea, Play rise.
