£60m funding line for LJMU
Liverpool John Moores University has secured a £60m funding line from Barclays to support its development plans.
As part of its ten-year strategy, the university is investing a total of £180m in the city, including the development of a £35m building on Clarence Street, which will house the Faculty of Business and Law, the Screen School and the university’s new Professional Centre.
Vice-chancellor Michael Brown said: “Even in short-term difficult financial circumstances, investment decisions must be taken to deliver efficiencies and to secure future success, given that such investments are made and serviced over a period of more than 20 years.”
