CIWM Certificate in Internal Workplace Mediation
Accredited workplace mediator training (5 days). Equipping and accrediting people as mediators in their workplace.
Commencing on 23 February at the Holiday Inn, Haydock, the training will be run over 2 weeks; 23rd and 24th February, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th March 2010.
Business need
Differences between individuals at work can lead to lack of focus on the job, grievances, absences, loss of valuable employees and sometimes Employment Tribunal claims. The cost in terms of time, money and stress on managers and employees is considerable. Mediators work with those in conflict to help them find and agree their own solutions.
This course is accredited by OCR, so the qualification gained meets a national standard and the training and trainee assessment are externally verified and quality assured. Successful candidates will be awarded the Acas Certificate in Internal Workplace Mediation.
Candidates are assessed through their performance in role play activity on the course and by presentation of a portfolio of evidence one month after the course is completed.
