Edge Lane road improvements
Edge Lane Project - highways
Work has been completed on Edge Lane Drive (from the Rocket to Rathbone Road), the works have delivered:
- An enhanced environmental streetscape
- New public realm and lighting
- Additional pedestrian and cycle crossings
- Additional parking bays for residents
- Planting of new trees and borders to raise the visual impact of the area
Work on Edge Lane Central (from Rathbone Road to Botanic Road) is completed, the works have provided:
- Creating new or modified junctions to open up development sites
- Environmental upgrading using both hard and soft landscaping treatment
- New street lighting
- New street furniture and unique feature guardrail
- New trees planted
Work on the Edge Lane West section of highway will commence early 2010.
