Charity Bank
The Liverpool Sefton Social Investment Bond is seeking business and private investors to purchase bonds that will help to regenerate North Liverpool and South Sefton by lending money to social businesses and charities for job-creating activities. The hope is that locally we can raise £5m to fund a loan scheme to lend to local social businesses to help them thrive and grow, creating jobs and contributing to sustainable regeneration.
Investors can make deposits with the Charity Bank - the only charity licensed to operate as a bank – which purchase bonds with a term of one to three years, carrying various rates of interest. At the end of that time, the capital can be repaid or you can decide to reinvest and go on helping local regeneration. Flexible, business-friendly loans of between £50,000 and £2,000,000 will be made to social businesses with good ideas and market prospects or which will create significant numbers of jobs. Investors will be able to see what their investment has helped achieve with regular updates and tours of funded projects and enterprises.
For further information or to request an application form, please contact the Charity Bank deposits team on 01732 774040, email enquiries@charitybank.org or visit www.charitybank.org.
