One of Liverpool’s most popular outdoor events is returning for 2012 with two FREE evenings of outstanding music performances.

Friday 20 July 7pm – 9.30pm

Join the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra for an evening of wonderful music. With popular conductor John Wilson at the helm, enjoy a night of popular classics and music from the silver screen, including music and songs from the likes of Carousel, Annie Get Your Gun, Funny Girl and The Sound of Music.

The orchestra will be joined by Broadway star, Kim Criswell, who will sing songs from the golden age of the Hollywood musical including There’s No Business Like Show Business and Stormy Weather. The evening will get under way with performances by up and coming local artists.

Bring a chair and a picnic and enjoy the wonderful harmonies.

Saturday 21 July 6pm – 10.30pm

Saturday will see Smooth Radio bringing some of its best loved artists to the city in a summer spectacular version of its Love Live Music events. Get ready for a jam-packed and varied line up of contemporary and classic music acts to entertain and delight.

Russell Watson, the internationally renowned tenor, will bring his own brand of rousing unique classical-pop crossover. Paul Carrack, the distinctive voice of Mike and the Mechanics, will wow the crowd with some of his biggest hits including The Living Years, Over My Shoulder and the international smash hit How Long?

British trio Honey Rider, back with a new album, will perform a collection of folk, pop and country favourites and Nell Bryden, the American singer-songwriter, will be playing beautiful acoustic tracks from her critically acclaimed albums, and will perform her current hit single Buildings and Treetops.
