Mathew Street Festival announced
This year’s Mathew Street Festival line-up has been announced, with bands from all over the world standing alongside Merseyside talent.
Musicians from more than 30 countries, including Argentina, Brazil, Norway, Germany and the USA will be performing over the two-day festival on August 28 and 29.
But more than half of the performers will be from the Merseyside region, with many of them making their festival debut.
This will be the first year there has not been a Beatles Stage though, as ever, there will be a strong Beatles and Merseybeat presence.
Old Liverpool favourites Amsterdam and China Crisis will join a new crop of local bands across five stages including the Superlambanana Stage on Tithebarn Street, Derby Square, the Tunnel Stage, Williamson Square and Water Street stage.
