Liverpool Commercial District Partnership Awards PR and Marketing Contract to Kenyon Fraser
Liverpool’s Commercial District Partnership has signed up Liverpool marketing communications firm Kenyon Fraser to undertake all its marketing and PR.
The Partnership, which secured Business Improvement District (BID) status following a ballot held in May, will now embark on a £3m programme delivering a range of additional services designed to enhance the area, maximise trading opportunities, and help secure additional inward investment.
Kenyon Fraser won the contract after a competitive tender process beating off stiff competition from incumbents Clarity Creation and Paver Smith as well as Aurora Media.
Chief executive Paul Rice said: “Securing the ‘yes’ vote transformed opportunities for the Commercial District and we now have some very ambitious plans to develop the area significantly over the next five years.
“It’s vital that all of this activity is communicated effectively to businesses within the city. It’s also crucial that businesses are given the opportunity to promote their successes and access support to help them progress.
“Kenyon Fraser is one of the largest and longest established integrated marketing communications consultancies in the region. Corporate director Geraldine Turner and her team proved they have the knowledge and strategic approach we need, as well as a strong reputation and the right skill sets and resources. I am confident they will deliver great results.”
The Commercial District is a designated zone in the heart of Liverpool. Bounded by Leeds Street to the North and the Strand to the West, it is connected to the city’s retail core by historic Castle Street.
The district is home to some of the most significant wealth creating firms in the North West, as well as hundreds of SMEs and a number of public sector organisations and larger corporate. The funding for the Commercial District Partnership is derived from charging a levy of 1% of the annual rateable value.
Kenyon Fraser ‘s managing director Richard Kenyon said: “We are delighted to have secured such a prestigious and exciting client and look forward to making a real difference to both the Partnership and the many businesses within the Commercial District.”
