Breast Cancer Charity Goes Online With Studio Mashbo
Liverpool based digital development agency Studio Mashbo has helped the breast cancer support group The Lily Centre to launch their new website.
The new Lily Centre website will help the centre and its members to openly document its work & activities to support both women and men with breast cancer.
The website has been set up using Studio Mashbo's easy to use content management system (CMS), giving the Lily Centre's founders Peggy O'Brien and Winnie Keating full control of their online presence.
Over the coming months the Studio Mashbo team will be working with the centre and its members to educate them about the benefits of online communication via their website and social media to raise awareness of the centre's support work, events and fund-raising requirements.
Studio Mashbo's Gavin Sherratt commented "Working with Peggy, Winnie and the Lily Centre's members has been an enjoyable experience, which has given us a great insight into how the charity works giving us the knowledge to deliver them a website that is right for their needs.
We are now focusing on developing their outward communication to raise awareness of their work and the accessibility of the centre for those in the region who need help and support whilst undergoing treatment for breast cancer.
We are also educating them to talk more about their events and their fund-raising activities, which is a part of our focus with all of the charities and good cause that we work with."
Peggy O'Brien from The Lily Centre also commented "The team at Studio Mashbo have helped us to develop a website that works for us and we love their hands on approach in looking after us to get us online with a website that we are proud of."
The Lily Centre is also supported by Montse Benitez Foundation, that has been set up by former Liverpool FC's manager Rafa Benitez's wife Montse to support good causes, who help with some of the day to day running of the centre.
